Dictation 1 (Unit 1&2) Part A : Seen Dictation (90%) When you are on the bus or the train, you should never put your feet on the seats. Good manners make the journey better for everyone. This morning I saw Kelly at the school entrance. She gave me a note. It said, ‘I’m sorry, Jane. Please forgive me.’ I smiled and said, ‘I’m sorry too. I spoke rudely to you yesterday.’ Now we are friends again. Hurray! From this experience I learnt that friends should say sorry to one another after a quarrel. Then we can get on with each other again! Part B : Unseen Dictation (10%) Part C : Bonus Adjectives and adverbs

Dictation 3 (Unit 4) Part A : Seen Dictation (90%) Many years ago, there were two sisters called Mia and Sara. Their father was very sick. He told his daughters, ‘I can’t give you expensive gifts, but take these necklaces. When I’m gone, look at them and remember I loved you.’ Soon after, the man died. The girls wore their necklaces all the time. One day, Mia’s necklace broke and fell into a lake. She was very upset. Suddenly, a mermaid appeared. ‘I lost my jewellery,’ Mia told her sadly. The mermaid dived down and returned with a beautiful crystal bracelet. ‘Is this bracelet yours?’ she asked. Mia shook her head. Part B : Unseen Dictation (10%) Part C : Bonus Accessories and Objects

The day before he left, Mum asked, ‘Have you packed yet?’ Dan was playing a game. ‘Erm, no, I haven’t,’ he said. What about the present for Mr and Mrs Scott?’ Mum asked. ‘Dad has already bought it,’ said Dan. ‘But I haven’t wrapped it yet. It’s a Chinese teapot.’ ‘A teapot?’ questioned Mum. ‘I hope it doesn’t break.’ Mum turned off the game. Dan groaned. ‘Come on! You need to pack. I can’t do everything for you,’ said Mum. Dan flew to England the next day. A few days later, Mum sent a text message to Dan. Part B : Unseen Dictation (10%) Part C : Bonus Activities on a tour
